FiF – Forum for Interdisciplinary Research

As an institution committed to the intermediate world of the disciplines, FiF offers free spaces for thinking in the house of sciences.

In a variety of event formats FiF provides important scientific impulses to university life and thus makes an important contribution to the promotion of interdisciplinary scientific culture at TU Darmstadt.

In addition FiF also focuses on science policy. For example, FiF organises and supervises the regular calls for internal TU funding for interdisciplinary research projects.

The Forum for Interdisciplinary Research was founded in November 2008 as an open platform for the purpose of promoting interdisciplinary cooperation at TU Darmstadt. The most important maxim of the new foundation was: from the centre to the network!

Funding Initiative Interdisciplinary Research

The Funding Initiative for Interdisciplinary Research at TU Darmstadt has been delegated by the Senate to the "FiF Commission", the finding and approval commission for interdisciplinary research. The members of the FiF Commission are appointed by the Senate.
