Felix Meiner Verlag has just published a volume curated by Andreas Großmann entitled „Zur Zukunft der Bildung“ (On the Future of Education). The authors of this volume explore the question of what education is or can be, how educational processes take place, and how educational institutions, particularly universities, can best be structured. Not least in times of digitalisation and artificial intelligence, a debate on the concept of education is indispensable.

The volume contains contributions by Andreas Dörpinghaus, Petra Gehring, Andreas Gelhard, Andreas Großmann, Konrad P. Liessmann, Antonio Loprieno, Käte Meyer-Drawe, Jürgen Mittelstraß, Christoph Paret, Markus Rieger-Ladich, Dieter Thomä and Georg Zenkert.

Almost simultaneously, the philosophical journal Journal Phänomenologie has published a special issue on ‘Phenomenology of AI-generated texts’ edited by Petra Gehringand Andreas Großmann. The contributions in this special issue take up questions and problems that were discussed at a symposium organised by ZEVEDI and a FiF forum on copyright and generative AI in December 2024.
