Introducing FiF:

Interdisciplinarity is based on independent disciplines. On the other hand, it essentially lives from the in-between of the disciplines. Forum Interdisciplinary Research of TU Darmstadt, FiF in short, has been dedicated to this in-between sphere of disciplines since its foundation in 2008.

Law and digital transformation – in conversation with Wolfgang Hoffmann-Riem

Digitization is associated with opportunities and risks in equal measure. They also pose new challenges for the law. The internationally respected legal scholar Wolfgang Hoffmann-Riem, sees it “in the wake of digital transformation”. In a conversation with FiF Scientific Director Andreas Großmann ahead of his FiF Lecture on May 11 , 2022, he explains how the law can respond to the risks associated with digitization and why there is no room for “digital neopositivism”.

Thinking creativity:

Creativity is discussed today in all possible contexts. What exactly characterises it and how it presents itself is, however, in need of clarification – with regard to necessary structural contexts, quasi conditions of the possibility of creativity, as well as to the regard of “logic” and form of creative practices.
