Collection of ideas: To prepare the workshop you are welcome to document your ideas and suggestions here in advance.

The KTT project “Serious Games” is an interdisciplinary joint project with the aim of supporting Serious Games activities in Hesse and, above all, substantially increasing the quality of serious games. Especially the quality of Serious Games is a key condition for their acceptance. Serious Games always have to fulfil two missions at the same time: They have to reach the “serious” goal (“characterising goal”) without destroying the gaming experience and pleasure of the game.

In order to scientifically support the topic of “quality”, framework concepts and criteria for the quality and evaluation of serious games have been elaborated and published (e.g. Wiemeyer, 2019; Caserman et al., 2020). Furthermore, the training effects of Serious Games have been investigated systematically (Wiemeyer, 2019).

The unique thing about the coming digital workshop “Serious Games” is that you can participate just out of pleasure and curiosity. The aim of the workshop is to present the latest information on current activities, to explore future research potential together, and finally to find possible research partners.

In addition to short presentations on the status of ongoing projects, we will offer you the opportunity to meet in small groups and develop research perspectives.

If you are interested in participating in this event, please send your registration to fif@fif.tu-… You will receive further information on the schedule and the link to the dial-in by e-mail after your registration.
